Since 1970, East End Cooperative Ministry has been building a community of opportunity in Pittsburgh’s East End.
We are dedicated to helping vulnerable adults and at-risk children and youth throughout our East End neighborhoods. An interfaith ministry, EECM seeks to make a difference in the lives of the individuals and families it serves by tending to their needs for today as well as their hopes for tomorrow.

Council of Congregations

Council of Congregations

East End Cooperative Ministry's Council of Congregations is an advisory body to the Board of Directors, comprised of representatives from local congregations. The Council acts as liasion between EECM and participating congregations, providing information about activities, volunteer needs, and other opportunities to get involved.

Responsibilities of Council of Congregations Members

  1. Attend meetings and participate fully in Council of Congregations’ meetings.
  2. Advocate for and be the voice of EECM in representative congregation — see that information is put into congregational publications in a timely manner through, but not limited to newsletters, bulletins, electronic mailings, bulletin boards, etc.
  3. Support EECM through attending events and volunteering to assist where needed.
  4. Encourage participation at events of congregation members and community.
  5. Recruit volunteers or identify recruitment opportunities within the congregation.
  6. Include EECM in your stewardship.
  7. Keep EECM clients and staff in your prayers.
