Since 1970, East End Cooperative Ministry has been building a community of opportunity in Pittsburgh’s East End.
We are dedicated to helping vulnerable adults and at-risk children and youth throughout our East End neighborhoods. An interfaith ministry, EECM seeks to make a difference in the lives of the individuals and families it serves by tending to their needs for today as well as their hopes for tomorrow.

ROCK

As the summer temperatures climb, East End Cooperative Ministry is feeling a different kind of heat.  Massive federal and state budget cuts have left us scrambling to fund our vital Children & Youth Programs.  These programs provide personalized support to more than 900 young people each year – students like Jimmy, featured in the story below, who have found their lives transformed through their involvement with EECM.

But if our funding situation does not improve, we will be forced to cut back.  Students whose entire lives have been marked by brokenness will experience this pain again.  We fear that students like Jimmy, who have made so much progress through our programs, will start to regress.  In addition, students in profound need of our programs will have to be turned away.

The situation is dire, but the good news is, you can help.  By making a donation to EECM’s annual Reach Out to City Kids (ROCK) campaign, you can help us keep our commitment to serve all those youth who come to us for help.  The ROCK campaign raises funds for EECM’s Children & Youth Programs, allowing us to continue to provide academic support, personalized mentoring, and safe, nurturing environments for the vulnerable young people in our community.  This year, more than ever, we need you!

Last year, EECM donors like you helped the ROCK campaign raise nearly $30,000!

Please consider a gift to the ROCK campaign today.
